We perform both routine surgical procedures and emergency surgeries requiring urgent intervention.
Before surgery, we assess your pet’s general health and, if necessary, perform blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound scans, or other diagnostic examinations. This allows us to choose the most appropriate anaesthesia and treatment plan for each individual animal.
All surgical procedures are performed under general anaesthesia, and your pet’s vital signs are monitored throughout the procedure. Just as important as the surgery itself are effective pain management and proper post-operative recovery.
After surgery, you will receive clear instructions on how to care for your pet at home. If necessary, we will also arrange a follow-up appointment.
Preparing Your Pet for Surgery 🐾
To help ensure that your pet’s surgery goes as smoothly and safely as possible, please keep the following in mind before coming to the clinic:
Your pet must not eat for 5–6 hours before surgery. Rodents are an exception. Fresh water should remain freely available until you arrive at the clinic.
If you are bringing a dog, take them for a walk shortly before coming to the clinic so they have an opportunity to urinate and defecate.
If possible, bring a blanket or throw with a familiar scent from home, as well as your pet’s passport, if available.
Please ensure that your pet’s coat is as clean as possible before surgery.
If your pet takes medication regularly, please inform us before the procedure.
Let us know if your pet has recently been ill, vomited, had diarrhoea, or shown any changes in their usual behaviour or general condition.
If blood tests or other diagnostic examinations have been carried out at another clinic, please send us your pet’s medical history and test results before the day of surgery, if possible.
If you would like us to perform any additional procedures during the same visit, such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, or microchipping, please let us know in advance or when you arrive for your appointment.
When arriving at the clinic, please keep dogs on a lead and bring cats and smaller animals in a secure carrier or transport bag. Other animals may be present in the waiting room, and their reactions can be unpredictable.
